The trade show industry continued its growth streak into the third quarter of this year, with a 3.1-percent uptick, compared with the same quarter last year, marking the 21st straight quarter of growth, according to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research’s Index Report.
"We are very encouraged to see three very strong quarters of growth for the year," said CEIR President and CEO Brian Casey.
He added, "We will be watching with great interest how the year ends based on fourth quarter results, and anticipate growth to continue into 2016 and 2017."

“Charm City” lived up to its name, and then some, when more than 2,500 attendees flocked to Baltimore, Md., last week for the International Association of Exhibitions’ Expo! Expo! Annual Meeting & Exhibition 2015.
David DuBois, IAEE’s president and CEO, said that while the attendee numbers were unaudited at this time, they definitely broke records, with a 10-percent uptick, compared with last year’s event in Los Angeles.

Amongst packed aisles of security professionals testing new products and learning about trends at 2015 ISC East, Reed Exhibitions shared news that it’s launching a new event, Connected Security Expo, to collocate with ISC West next spring.
ISC East kicked off Nov. 18 in New York City. The sold –out, 33,000 net square foot Exhibit Hall was bustling with business being done. The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and they have quite a bit to celebrate. The number of events hosted in the Middle East by ADNEC grew from just 14 in 2005 to 327 at the end of 2014.
The number of visitors grew from 50,000 in 2005 to 1.6 million in 2014. That adds up to more than 10.7 million visitors over 10 years.
ADNEC’s impact on Abu Dhabi's economy is significant. Numbers at the end of Q3 2015 are at AED1.835billion (close to $500 million), up from the original projection of AED1.7billion ($460 million).

The 2017 International Buyer Program (IBP) and International Buyer Program SELECT www.export.gov/ibp application period now is open.
Interested shows have until Jan. 8, 2016, to apply. The U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Buyer Program is a joint government-industry effort designed to increase U.S. export sales by promoting international attendance at major U.S. industry exhibitions.
