Like any good exhibitor, RetailNext wanted to capture the attention of retailers at National Retail Federation’s (NRF) Retail’s BIG Show in New York. a2z, Inc. released an infographic to highlight the results from the super-engaging ChirpE Scavenger Hunt atthe International Association of Exhibitions and Events' Expo! Expo! 2013, held in December in Houston. Hundreds of attendees visited the ChirpE-powered photo booths in partner locations during the event, clicking and sharing their photos on Facebook in real-time.  The 632 photos clicked during this fun gaming experience engaged a total of 11,872 people on Facebook between Dec. 7-22, 2013, generating 45,872 impressions in the process. Trade show organizers collect mountains of data through registration, attendee surveys, session surveys, exhibitor surveys, lead retrieval systems, social media, etc. The question is, how is all that data being used? The Wilmington Convention Center, the largest convention center on the North Carolina coast, launched a brand new Web site, www.businessmadecasual.com. The highlight of the new site is a virtual 360° tour that takes meeting and convention planners on a digital journey of the center’s venues and amenities. Most of the time, event mobile apps are selected well after the event management software is in place. Mobile apps are relatively new to trade shows and conferences and implementing the core operations software normally takes priority.
