A decrease in dealers across the United States directly impacted the showfloor at Advanstar Communications’ Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo, with a 30-percent drop in attendance to 10,904, compared with last year’s show, and a 27 percent drop from the 2011 event.
Excluding exhibitor personnel, verified attendees totaled 5,452, with approximately 3,700 verified as traditional franchised and independent retailer buyers.
The overall industry has seen a 36-percent decrease in the number of dealers operating in the U.S. since 2009.

Dallas-based Freeman, a provider of marketing solutions for live events in North America, has acquired U.K.-based general service contractor SO Group.
“For 86 years, Freeman has focused its business on responding to the specific needs of each client,” said Joe Popolo, CEO of Freeman.

UBM Asia getting ready to launch not one, but two new shows in the Asia-Pacific region, with Intermach Myanmar, the first international industrial manufacturing and subcontracting exhibition in the country, as well as South East Asia's first international Pet Asia 2013 in Singapore.

Attracting dental professionals from all over the Northeastern portion of the United States, the Yankee Dental Congress drew more than 28,000 attendees when it was held in early February at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
