The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) held the inaugural Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo Oct. 26-29 at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE). The event featured about 380 exhibitors from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Malaysia, Korea and Taiwan. UBM Asia, a UBM plc company, recently concluded its 4th edition of Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair, attracted a total of 6,963 trade visitors to the four-day event from 21st to 24th October 2016. Held at Taipei World Trade Center, Hall 1, the event featured 183 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions, occupying 303 booths. Of the 6,963 visitors, 836 visitors, or 12% were from outside Taiwan. The top three visiting countries were Mainland China, India and Japan. The company also bought National Pavement Expo from AC Business Media and Digital Dealer Conference & Expo from Dealer Communications. The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions’ 2016 IAAPA Attractions Expo, currently running in Orlando, and the 2016 International Baking Industry Exposition both can boast that their largest events in history are this year. IBIE was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center with more than 1,000 exhibitors - 340 new to IBIE and a 28-percent increase, compared with 2013 - on more than 700,000 square feet of exhibit space. Billed as the ‘world’s largest’ equestrian event - held in Essen, Germany, and drawing 200,000 visitors and 850 exhibitors from 30 nations - a new EQUITANA show will be heading to the United States in 2018. “EQUITANA USA will become a landmark event - one created with vision and purpose which markets the future of equestrian sports," says Robert Keegan from EQU Expo. In response to feedback, Emerald Expositions’ Outdoor Retailer will shift its 2018 dates to better align with buying cycles, as well as collocate its shows with Grassroots Outdoor Alliance’s Connect. In 2018, Outdoor Retailer Summer Market will move to June 11–14, 2018, and Winter Market will move to Nov. 12–15, 2018.
