KLCC Confirms 30 Major Events in 2018
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) reports that it has already confirmed some 30 major high-profile events in 2018. It is expected to attract close to 440,000 delegates and visitors to the venue next year.
New, large-scale events to be held at KLCC in 2018 for the first time include: Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2018, 35th International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) International Conference 2018, World Cancer Congress 2018 and International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) World Congress 2018. In addition to these first time events, KLCC will also host eight European-based events and several long-standing events.
KLCC’s management also announced that it has established the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Business Events Alliance (KLCC BEA) to act as a seamless, single point of contact for meeting planners and event organisers.
In addition, KLCC’s expansion project is currently underway and it is scheduled to be completed in mid-2019. After the expansion project is completed, the venue will offer an additional 11,000 m2 of flexible and multi-purpose space to accommodate larger exhibitions and international association meetings as well as the ability to host larger-scale concurrent events.
