One of the many highlights planned for the 4th Annual TSNN Awards: Celebrating Trade Show Excellence, on tap Nov. 1-3 in Reno, Nevada, includes the only time this year both the chairs of the Society of Independent Show Organizers and International Association of Exhibitions and Events will be on the same stage at the same time speaking on a “State of the Industry” panel during the event’s Saturday Executive Conference.

"The industry is growing again and there are a lot of opportunities for positive changes in the way we develop and grow our shows, so I am excited to be speaking at the TSNN Awards program on the 'State of the Industry' as SISO's new Chairman,” said David Audrain, chair of SISO and president/CEO of Clarion Events North America.

Jason McGraw, chair of IAEE and senior vice president of expositions for InfoComm International, added, “As chairman of IAEE, I am very excited to participate on this distinguished panel of industry leaders. These thought leaders continue to redefine and enhance the exhibition industry, as seen by the growth of their shows and the innovation of their events.”

Besides the Saturday Executive Conference at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, which will include other high-level sessions and a breakfast, there also will be a lunch hosted by the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, followed by a keynote from an esteemed business leader.

The three-day event will honor not only the 50 fastest-growing shows in the U.S., but also the Industry Icon Award, “Best of Show” award and The Expo Group’s Show Manager of the Year (SMOTY) award winners.

Guests will be staying at the AAA Four-Diamond Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, which recently completed a $450 million renovation.

Festivities will kick off Friday night at the new Kingpin Club at the famous 78-lane National Bowling Stadium, where there will be several surprises in store.

After the conference the next morning, guests will have the opportunity to explore all that Reno has to offer before gathering again for cocktails and the awards dinner emceed by awards co-founder Adam Schaffer at the Peppermill.

During the awards dinner, the SMOTY award winners, as well as top association, for-profit and overall fastest-growing shows will be named, followed by an afterglow event at the resort.

The next morning, attendees will head over to the Nevada Museum of Art for a Parisian-themed brunch to celebrate the debut of French artist Toulouse-Lautrec’s exhibit that will open the same weekend.
