USITT 2015, which is run by the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, is on tap in Cincinnati and now boasts a record 280 exhibitors – including 60 new ones. USITT Stage Expo Manager Ron Procopio says he is excited to welcome so many companies new or returning after years away to the 55th Annual Conference & Stage Expo. The Kentucky International Convention Center, located in Downtown Louisville, is set to begin an expansion and renovation project in August 2016 with an early completion date of summer 2018. Kentucky State Fair Board President and CEO Rip Rippetoe said that the accelerated construction schedule will “keep this renovation on time and within budget which is certainly a top priority.” The Fair Board oversees the center. The upcoming Taipei 5-in-1 Mega Motoring Show will showcase 3,800 booths from almost 1,400 exhibitors from 14 countries at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Exhibition Hall 1 and Nangang Exhibition Hall. The show will run from 8th to 11th April 2015. The five concurrent shows include Taipei AMPA, AutoTronics Taipei, Motorcycle Taiwan, EV Taiwan and Tuning & Car Care Taiwan. The ITE Group announced the acquisition of Diversified Communications’ India-based entertainment technology portfolio for an undisclosed amount. The co-located events, PALM Expo and Music Expo, along with two publications, Pro Sound Systems and Studio Systems, will be managed by ITE’s Indian partner company, Asian Business Exhibitions and Conferences (ABEC).   The 14th edition of PALM Expo was held in May 2014 and attracted some 144 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors.
