TSNN News - Free Webinar on Internet Connectivity Issues; Vote NOW for "Best of Show"; Nominations Open for Favorite Show Organizer

September 8, 2012

These are busy days at TSNN with another new webinar recently announced and preparations for the 3rd Annual TSNN Awards: Celebrating Trade Show Excellence in full swing for Nov. 2-4 in Louisville, Ky.

TSNN’s newest complimentary webinar that’s part of a monthly series is “Internet Connectivity: How to Stay Connected at Events with More Demand Than Ever”.

The webinar is Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. EST and the link to register is HERE.

With more and more demand on wireless networks, this latest TSNN webinar will delve into what show organizers need to be considering to ensure attendees get connected and stay connected at their events.

In late June, more than 18,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors descended on the San Diego Convention Center for the annual convention of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

ISTE is a very tech-savvy event that demands one of the highest rates of Wi-Fi connectivity of any show at a facility in which Smart City Networks, the largest telecom and internet supplier in the U.S., serves.

This year, Smart City brought in an additional 2 gigabits (Gb) of bandwidth to meet the event’s anticipated Wi-Fi demand, as well as laid more than 18,650 feet of cable for the wired network connections.

Representatives from ITSE, the San Diego Convention Center and Smart City will be featured on the hour webinar.

There have been five nominees chosen to compete for the overall “Best of Show” award that will be unveiled at the TSNN Awards.

Voting now has opened to see which one will come out on top! The nominees are HealthAchieve, Coverings, Baby Bonanza and Kid’s Expo, NPE 2012 and VDTA/SDTA.

Full descriptions of why these shows think they are best and voting can be found HERE. Voting is open until Oct. 5.

Nominations also are open for The Expo Group’s Show Manager of the Year Award in which five winners will be honored in different show size categories at the TSNN Awards.

Five innovative show managers will be honored at the gala dinner and take part in the weekend-long TSNN industry celebration. In addition to industry-wide recognition, SMOTY honorees receive a $500 donation to the charity of their choice courtesy of The Expo Group.
