U.K.-based Clarion Events’ recently opened U.S. division already is making its mark, with The Navy League of the United States awarding a management contract for its annual “Sea-Air-Space” Exposition to Clarion Events North America. When the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society recently wrapped up its annual meeting Feb. 20-24 at the Sand Expo & Convention Center, show officials had a lot to celebrate, with the show breaking previous attendance records. The New South Wales (NSW) Government has shortlisted three separate consortia for the contract bid to build the new 120,000 square metre Sydney International Convention, Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct (SICEEP) at Darling Harbour. The bidding consortia will reportedly include Australian and international players with backgrounds ranging from construction to event management.
