Cleveland-based International Exposition Center (I-X Center) added two new members to its sales staff - Travis Poppell, as director of sales, and Lisa Shields, as associate director of sales.

The organizers of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, scheduled to take place in March 2014, have announced that the fair will be postponed until 2015.
Wendy Wen, senior general manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd said that the decision was made after consultation with all stakeholders of the fair.
“In particular, the feedback from local exhibitors that only one home textile fair in Shanghai during 2014 was desirable was the main reason for the postponement,” she added.

Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (known as “the Centre”) has appointed Alan Pryor as General Manager Designate.
Pryor takes over from Datuk Peter Brokenshire, who retires at the end of March 2014 after 11 years with the Centre, which included spearheading the setting up and opening of the venue in 2005.

Further adding onto its fashion portfolio, Reed Exhibitions has bought Capsule, 12 events geared toward the contemporary apparel market held in the U.S. and Europe.
Exactly one year ago, the company bought another apparel show – AGENDA – for the streetwear and action sports industries.

Two antiques and arts shows were headed for a showdown the same April weekend in Chicago, but Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. decided to cancel its Chicago International Antiques and Fine Art Fair.
The other show – Palm Beach Show Group’s Chicago International Art, Antique and Jewelry Show – will be held April 24-28 at Navy Pier.
A spokesperson for MMPI confirmed their show would not be held this April.

From chemical peels to compounds that activate genes, the advances in extending a healthy lifespan and good looks took center stage at the 21st Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine (A4M) Dec. 12-15 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.
