Urban Expositions has acquired Womenswear in Nevada (WWIN) trade show from Specialty Trade Shows, Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The ownership transition began immediately following the Aug. 17-20 edition of the semi-annual womenswear apparel trade show held at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. Even with so many attendees it's not easy to find a hotel room close by and some exhibits are outside in tents, Emerald Expositions’ Outdoor Retailer community has spoken loud and clear saying they want to stay in Salt Lake City. Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd will launch a new initiative this year to facilitate nonwovens fabric suppliers’ expansion into China, where imports of such products jumped 128 percent from 2000 to 2013. The German exhibition company’s Asia Pacific branch will launch the China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE – supported by Techtextil) from Oct. 14-16, adding one more event to its comprehensive textile portfolio, and complementing the biennial Cinte Techtextil China trade fair. The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) has chalked up a busy first half in its 10th year of operation with a recorded 661 events drawing a total 778,414 delegates and visitors and an economic impact contribution of RM264 million Jan. 1-June 30, 2015. The achievement is on the back of a record 2014 performance, when the number of events jumped 11 percent from the 2013 record of 1,565 to 1,759.
