28,000-plus Professionals Attend Yankee Dental Congress in Boston
Attracting dental professionals from all over the Northeastern portion of the United States, the Yankee Dental Congress drew more than 28,000 attendees when it was held in early February at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
The event’s theme was “Building Bridges and it is the fifth largest dental meeting in the country, which is sponsored by the Massachusetts Dental Society, in cooperation with the Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont dental associations.
Some features of the event included the Healthy Living Pavilion, where attendees could earn CE credits, while learning from experts about good nutrition and weight loss, among other topics.
There also was the Yankee Fast Track for the Dental Management of Sleep Apnea that provided a different speaker and topic during each hour-long session.
Yankee’s Annual Conference for Women in Dentistry, which sold out, featuring Donna Galante, DMD who spoke about “Getting it All Done Without Losing Your Mind,” while Christel Koppel Autuori, RDH presented “Yoga off the Mat and into the Dental Operatory.”
For the first time, dental hygienists had the opportunity to experience RDH @ YDC. The experts at RDH Magazine and RDH Under One Roof brought education and other events to the overall gathering.
Also back this year was the Dental Office Pavilion, at which attendees could see the latest in dental equipment, while experiencing a series of courses on up-and-coming dental topics.
The Dentist as the CEO series helped dental professionals manage their business with four different courses that taught them tools such as controlling expenses, setting goals and hiring effectively.
The Yankee Dental Congress was ranked No. 215 on the TSNN Top 250 trade show list, with more than 90,000 net square feet and 467 exhibitors.
