SIGGRAPH Asia 2015, organised by Koelnmesse, was held from 2nd to 5th November at the Kobe Convention Center. The four-day event, which combines both exhibition and conferences, brought together over 500 keynote speakers and 7,000 trade visitors from 49 countries around the world. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has concluded its autumn fairs – 9,100 exhibitors from 56 countries were featured in the trade fairs held in October and November, up by 3.9% year-on-year (excluding the inaugural World of Outdoor Lighting & Lighting Accessories). The fairs also welcomed over 204,000 local and overseas buyers. According to the HKTDC, the eight events combined made an economic contribution of over US$155 million to Hong Kong’s economy.   Cosmoprof Asia 2015, organised by UBM Asia, was held from 11th to 13th November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The three-day show featured 2,504 exhibitors, up by 6 percent compared to last year. Exhibition space sold also rose by 3 percent to 84,000 m2. UBM pointed to the largest-ever Korean pavilion, showcasing 212 exhibitors in 2,696 m2 as a highlight of the event.
