The 30th edition of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s (HKTDC) Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair closes today. The exhibition attracted a record number of more than 4,200 exhibitors from 38 countries and territories at the HKCEC venue in Hong Kong’s Wanchai district. To recognise the 30th edition of the event, the HKTDC set-up a special display charting the evolution of the exhibition over the past 30 years. Jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf Asia and Asian Exhibition Services (AES), the inaugural edition of Bevtec Asia attracted more than 150 exhibiting companies from 24 countries and regions to showcase the latest in the drink manufacturing industry. The Taiwan External Trade Development Council’s (TAITRA) flagship MICE promotional programme, MEET TAIWAN, recently introduced the “Taiwan Value Go” and “Taiwan Meeting and Incentive Rewards Program” to serve overseas MICE visitors. The “Taiwan Value Go” program features the cultural experiences that overseas MICE visitors can enjoy during itineraries which are centred around nine international exhibitions around Taiwan. The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) introduced its two brand communication campaigns – Thailand Connect the World and Thailand’s MICE United II – to the Japanese MICE market during its recent roadshow in Tokyo. The bureau also unveiled targeted initiatives for Japan including special financial subsidies and support for mega events. New York Convention Center Operating Corporation President and CEO Alan Steel unveiled the launch of free wireless service – up to 256K of bandwidth – for all customers and visitors at the Javits Center, the busiest convention center in the United States. With free wireless service throughout the facility, visitors can experience online access on their mobile devices while in and around the iconic structure on Manhattan’s West Side.
