Reed Forms JV with Indonesian Panorama Group

Reed Exhibitions and the Indonesian Panorama Group have formed Reed Panorama Exhibitions (RPE), a joint venture which plans to organise trade shows in Indonesia. As part of the partnership arrangement, Panorama Group’s MICE division, Panorama Convex Indah, will be rolled into RPE and renamed Panorama Meetings and Events.

RPE will hold its first exhibition, Indonesia Mining & Engineering from 10th to 12th October this year at the Jakarta Convention Centre. The show will become part of Panorama Convex Indah’s exhibition portfolio. The company is targeting 300 exhibitors and 3,000 visitors.

Paul Beh, Reed Exhibition regional president of Asia Pacific, said, “Beyond the BRIC economies, Indonesia ranks high in the business agenda of multiple industries around the world. Our customers are telling us to bring them to Indonesia and help them find new businesses. We are aiming to add two new events every year, so in the next five years we will have 17. We are open to partnerships, be it equity partnerships, acquisitions or managing exhibitions such as those belonging to associations and the government.”
