IAEE Launching Expo! Expo! Event in Abu Dhabi Next Year

September 25, 2019

International Association of Exhibitions and Events is heading to the Middle East. The world’s leading trade association for exhibitions management announced this week that it will launch Expo! Expo! MENA in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in fall 2020.

"By bringing the IAEE Expo! Expo! brand to the MENA region, we are filling a much-needed gap in this region by providing a trade show and conference that brings buyers and sellers together to conduct business and learn best practices in exhibition management," said IAEE President and CEO David DuBois.

MENA, which will build off the Expo! Expo! IAEE annual meeting that takes place in the United States each December, will feature a trade show, education sessions, a general session and Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) classes. Final dates and programming will be announced soon.

This spring, IAEE launched its MENA chapter with a focus on bringing excellence in exhibition management and networking opportunities to the Middle East and North Africa region. The organization is the largest international association with vast experience in this area, according to IAEE officials.

The chapter is chaired by Bilal Al-Barmawi, CEO and managing director of 1st Arabia Tradeshows & Conferences, a Saudi Arabian company specializing in organizing exhibitions and conferences. Launching Expo! Expo! MENA will build off the chapter’s previous success and continue to help the exhibitions industry grow in this region.

"The Middle East is a market that desires international expertise that will increase the opportunities of the exhibition industry in the region, especially through the training and educational courses that will be put forward and suggested during the show," said Al-Barmawi.
