Hong Kong International Stationery Show Draws International Pavilions, Exhibitors

October 8, 2014

The 15th edition of the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair, which will be held Jan. 12-15 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, has confirmed returning pavilions from Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), it also has signed exhibitors from the Chinese mainland, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and the USA.

Fiona Chiew, deputy general manager for Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd said of the continuous support from overseas companies, “The Hong Kong International Stationery Fair is an important event for paper, stationery, office supplies as well as gift manufacturers and agents from around the world to develop their businesses, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. The 2015 show is expecting more than 200 exhibitors from different countries and regions.”

Benjamin Chau, deputy executive director for HKTDC, added: “Last year we received positive comments from exhibitors and visitors on the product zoning because it enhances sourcing efficiency and the show experience. Therefore, we will continue to set up five product zones: DIY Supplies, Gift Stationery, Kids & School, Pen & Paper as well as Smart Office.”

The DIY Supplies zone will include “do-it-yourself” and handicraft items to cater to the growing popularity of DIY.

At the Gift Stationery zone, exhibitors will display different kinds of promotional gifts for consumers and corporate use. The Kids & School zone will feature artist supplies, children’s stationery and school supplies, while a wide range of office supplies, computer accessories and office equipment consumables will be showcased at the Smart Office zone.

As for the Pen & Paper zone, visitors will be able to source paper, printing products and writing equipment.

Several trends will be highlighted at the show, such as products that make people’s lives easier. One such product is the Zcan+ Wireless Scanner Mouse manufactured by Hong Kong company Systech Electronics Ltd.

This wireless mouse has a scanning function, which allows users to directly scan tables or text and edit them in MS Office. In addition, it can scan newspapers, magazines and books, as well as translate text into different languages.

Stationery items and office supplies with colorful and fashionable designs also are becoming more popular. At the show, a wide variety of trendy products such as stylishly designed bubble shaped modular containers and a collection of colorful schoolbags will be displayed. Ni Hau Industrial Co Ltd is a Taiwanese design and manufacturing company for stationery and lifestyle products.

The Hong Kong International Stationery Fair will be held concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, the HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show.
