The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade’s Winter Fancy Food Show, on tap in January in San Francisco, is set to feature a bevy of TV food personalities, along with a packed showfloor and education sessions.

As part of National Association of Tobacco Outlet’s 12th Anniversary and Trade Show in Las Vegas, the organization will launch the first Meetings with a Mission (MWM) event.
The MWM event is a community engagement initiative for attendees to serve at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission April 22, the first day of the show, which runs through April 24.
NATO Show attendees registered for the NATO MWM event will serve for a half-day at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission in the areas of preparing and serving meals, assembling hygiene kits and performing light property maintenance.

The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau’s Board of Directors has named Jay Burress the new president of the bureau, replacing long-time industry veteran Charles Ahlers.
“We are confident that Anaheim and Orange County will move forward under Burress’ leadership as a major leisure and convention destination,” said Steve Arnold, AOCVCB Chairman of the Board.

The biannual South China Label Show 2012, owned by U.K.-based Tarsus Group, attracted 5,098 visitors as its second edition was held Dec. 4-6 at the Pazhou Exhibition Center in Guangzhou.
The show exceeded previous statistics in attendee and exhibitor numbers and many senior executives visited, confirming the fast growing importance of the event and the market in the region.

Water Expo China + Water Membrane China broke its previous record for exhibitor and visitor attendance when it was held Oct. 29-31 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.
A new record of 398 exhibitors, from 21 countries and regions, a 21-percent increase, compared last year, including national groups and pavilions from Austria, Germany, Korea and Taiwan region, was set at this year’s 22,000 square meters show.

The AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) has announced another year of business growth with space sold at the venue increasing by more than 20% for a second consecutive year. In total, more than 20 million square feet (1.86 million m2) of venue space was sold in 2012.

The biennial India Auto Expo motor show will relocate from its current venue at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi to the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida at the next edition. The change was based on serious traffic and visitor management problems reported by attendees and the Indian Trade Promotions Organisation (ITPO) at this year’s show.
