The Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) announced a series of long-term contract has recently been secured with major exhibition organisers to continue to host their events at the venue. The events to continue at SNIEC include those organised by UBM Asia, Reed Exhibitions Greater China, as well as shareholder members Deutsche Messe, Messe Düsseldorf and Messe München. In January, NürnbergMesse North America decided to collocate it InterBev show with the Food Marketing Institute’s FMI Connect, which will be held June 10-13 in Chicago.   Now, the Germany-based show organizer will split InterBev into two targeted shows, InterBev Beverage and InterBev Process, to cover the different product categories. Global Sources’ China Sourcing Fairs electronics series has sold out two months in advance. More than 4,100 booths will feature at the upcoming shows. The shows will run from 12th to 15th April at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) in Hong Kong. The four co-located shows will occupy all ten halls at AWE. The shows include China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components, Mobile & Wireless, Security Products and Korea Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components. Two of Messe Frankfurt’s fabrics and textiles trade shows in China’s Guangdong region attracted more than 400 exhibitors in March 2014. The spring edition of Interstoff Asia Essential saw more than 220 exhibitors showcase a range of fabrics and garment accessories at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The 2014 edition of the International Pharmaceutical Expo (INTERPHEX), a show dedicated to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry, had several new features at this year’s event. The show, sponsored by the PDA (Parenteral Drug Association), was held March 18-20 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. On an acquisition roll, Marketplace Events has bought yet another show – the Edmonton Renovation Show in Alberta, Canada – from Young Marketing Services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The show, held annually in January at the Expo Centre at Northlands Agricom, will be the company's second one in the same market.
