IAEE Opens Call for Nominations for Individual Awards

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events has opened the Call for Nominations for its annual awards program to recognize exceptional professionals in the exhibitions and events industry.

Each year, industry professionals who meet the outlined criteria may be nominated for any of the awards listed at www.iaee.com/awards. The deadline to submit nominations to IAEE is June 12, with the exception of the IAEE Woman of Achievement and IAEE International Excellence Awards. 

The following awards represent IAEE's highest honors:

The IAEE Woman of Achievement Award recognizes a woman who has led the way in the advancement of women in the exhibitions and events industry, exhibited outstanding leadership, and made significant contributions to the industry and her community. The IAEE Woman of Achievement Award will be presented during the IAEE Women's Leadership Forum to be held 8 April 2015 in Washington, D.C. The deadline for submitting nominations for this award is Feb. 27. 

The IAEE International Excellence Award recognizes an individual and/or an organization who/which has made exceptional strides in creating, launching and managing an international event in the exhibitions and events industry. The IAEE International Excellence Award will be presented during IMEX Frankfurt held 19-21 May 2015 in Frankfurt, Germany. The deadline for submitting nominations for this award is March 9. 

The IAEE Pinnacle Award was established in memory of the late Founder and Past President of IAEE (formerly NAEM) William Hunt Eisenman, and is presented by IAEE in recognition of extraordinary achievement in the exhibitions and events management field. The award recognizes an individual who, over the years, has furthered IAEE's objectives of advancing exhibitions and events management through the promotion of education, the dissemination of knowledge and the introduction or development of innovative techniques, and who has been dedicated to the perpetuation of the highest ideals, trust and professionalism in this highly specialized field.

The IAEE Distinguished Service Award is presented to an IAEE member in recognition of an individual who has rendered distinguished service to IAEE and to the exhibition industry as a whole.

The IAEE Merit Award recognizes individuals whose ideas and/or work have benefited IAEE as an organization in some special way, and is generally reserved for those who have stepped forward at the chapter and/or local level.

The IAEE Bob Dallmeyer Educator of the Year Award is presented to IAEE members who possess outstanding creativity, a positive attitude and the ability to transfer knowledge through good communication skills and innovative teaching to promote life-long learning to exhibitions and events industry professionals. Educators include IAEE-related education speakers, industry speakers, university professors and CEM faculty members.

The IAEE Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has dedicated his/her time to the progress and fulfilling the charge of a committee or task force on which he/she serves.

The IAEE Outstanding Achievement in Industry Leadership Award recognizes an individual(s) who has made an extraordinary personal or professional commitment that materially contributes to the advancement of the exhibitions and events industry. Recognition will demonstrate how voluntary leadership can enhance or change the industry.

The IAEE Outstanding Achievement in Innovation in Business Solutions Award recognizes achievement in the creation of new and innovative business solutions. This award may be conveyed to an individual or to a team depending upon how application is submitted.

The IAEE Outstanding Achievement in Marketing & Sales Award recognizes outstanding achievement in marketing and sales activities including outstanding performance in total event revenue/profit; advertising revenue; attendance; sponsorship revenue; exhibit Space Sales; and customer service.

The IAEE Young Professional of the Year Award recognizes excellent professional performance by someone who has committed his/her time to advancing the standing of young professionals in our industry.

The IAEE Rookie of the Year Award recognizes excellent professional performance by an individual with three or less years of full-time exhibitions and events industry experience.

The IAEE Awards Committee reviews nominations and discusses each candidate's qualifications in depth, prior to recommending its selections to the IAEE Board of Directors. The final selections, chosen by the Board, are based on merit. Honorees will be recognized Dec. 1-3 at Expo! Expo! IAEE's Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Baltimore, Md.
