The international organic sector met for the 12th year in a row for BioFach Japan 2012 Nov. 21-23 in the Tokyo Big Sight Exhibition Centre. This year was notable for the large international share of exhibitors. More than 210 companies from 14 nations, compared with 10 nations in 2011 presented their organic products. Calls from within the Taiwanese jewellery industry to hold an international, professional jewellery exhibition in Taiwan have been answered, with UBM Asia and the Taiwan Jewelry Industry Association joining forces, supported by the Taipei Jewelers’ Association, to launch the first Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair. People just want to have fun, and that was apparent with the recent success of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions trade show – IAAPA Attractions Expo 2012 – held Nov. 12-16 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Korea’s food and beverage trade show, Food Week Korea, rounded off its seventh year running with record success when it ran a few weeks ago. U.K.-based UBM acquired a 65-percent equity share in Eco Exhibitions Sdn Bhd – owner of sustainable building, design and construction trade show Greenbuild Asia.
