Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (known as “the Centre”) has appointed Alan Pryor as General Manager Designate. Pryor takes over from Datuk Peter Brokenshire, who retires at the end of March 2014 after 11 years with the Centre, which included spearheading the setting up and opening of the venue in 2005. The organizers of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, scheduled to take place in March 2014, have announced that the fair will be postponed until 2015. Marintec China 2013, organized by UBM Asia and the Shanghai Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers, drew not only a record number of exhibitors, but also 13-percent more visitors when it recently ran in early December. The food and beverage trade show took placefrom 13thto 15thNovember 2013at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). UBM Asia’s joint venture company in China, Shanghai-based UBM Sinoexpo, has announced the acquisition of two trade shows and their co-located events from Shanghai Tiansheng Exhibition Service Co., Ltd– the China Vending & Kiosk Show, the Shanghai Digital Signage Show. Green technology trade show, Eco Expo Asia, recently showcased the latest products and solutions of close to 300 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions at AsiaWorld-Expo(AWE) in Hong Kong. The show ran from 28th to 31st October 2013 and it also featured a conference programme attended by nearly 700delegates.
