Automechanika Shanghai Will Debut at a New Venue to Accommodate Growing Show

October 28, 2015

In response to the rapidly expanding Automechanika Shanghai, a trade fair for automotive parts, accessories, equipment and services, this year’s show, scheduled Dec. 2-5, will be newly located at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Puxi, Shanghai.

It will house the enlarged 280,000 square meters of exhibition space, which is a nearly 30 percent increase from last year and completely sold out for the December show.

The additional space also will accommodate increased capacity for the approximate 5,300 worldwide exhibitors, an increase of 8 percent from 2014, throughout 11 halls in the largest single block building and exhibition complex in the world.

The four main industry sectors from the whole industry chain will be in focus at the show, including Parts & Components, Repair & Maintenance, Accessories & Tuning and Electronics & Systems, which is a newly-designated sector for Automechanika Shanghai.

In advance of the exhibition and as a new value-added service this year, visitors pre-registering online will receive a free admission badge through the mail, which is aimed at making the check-in experience at the new venue faster and easier.

Additionally, research through various local and overseas visitor service centres was utilised to provide assistance to past and specially-invited visitors in pre-registration. Pre-registered visitors no longer need to queue to receive badges and may enter the halls immediately to save valuable time and improve the overall experience.

The exhibitor searching system will be available online two months before the show and once again at the information counters onsite to assist visitors in locating their targeted exhibitors much easier, saving valuable time and effort.

In addition to the onsite privileges, a vast fringe programme will be organised as an additional highlight to the show. To better serve the demand of both exhibitors and visitors and provide a comprehensive overview of the industry’s latest news, the organiser joined hands with more organisations of different industry sectors to offer about 45 events onsite during the show period.

To assist attendees in the new venue during the exhibition period, show organisers have provided comprehensive upgrades to make the onsite facilities friendlier for conducting business through digital electronic devices with complimentary WiFi service throughout the halls.

This will allow for a connection through the Automechanika Shanghai website, mobile applications and social media platforms, including WeChat which has a newly-launched micro-website page in both English and Chinese to further expedite business success.
