U.K.-based Tarsus Group has partnered with Dyandra Promosindo - organizer of the Indonesian Motor Show – in the launch of the inaugural AAITF Jakarta in March 2014.

Just as the giant haul trucks and excavators the size of a three-story building, MINExpo International 2012 was impressive with its sheer size and was billed as a largest collection of mining equipment ever gathered.
Produced by the National Mining Association, the premier quadrennial event for the mining industry spanned 860,000 square feet, up 40 percent from its previous show in 2008.
The show featured a total of 1,890 exhibitors, also up nearly 45 percent, and attracted more than 58,359 attendees, an increase of more than 45 percent.

Answering a demand in the marketplace, Germany-based Messe Duesseldorf plans to launch GDS Select – Premium European Shoe Fair April 17-19, 2013 in Shanghai.
The new show will be held as part of the China International Footwear & Leathergoods Exhibition – CIFL at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

In 2015, the 127th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session will head to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where 1,500 international delegates will meet.
These delegates will include IOC members and their accompanying guests, IOC Honorary Members, representatives of Host Cities of future Olympic Games, Bid Cities of the 2020 Olympic Games, sponsors /partners of the IOC and staff members of the IOC.

The five-day HKTDC Watch & Clock Fair ended in early September, with more than 17,500 buyers participating, up 4.5 percent, compared with last year.
Some of the increases came from emerging market buyers that were up significantly, including Iran (up 32 percent), the Chinese mainland (up 17 per cent) and Russia (up 17 percent).
The Hong Kong Trade and Development Council commissioned an independent market survey agency, Actrium Solutions (HK) Ltd, to conduct a survey during the first three days of the fair.

The Macau Statistics and Census Service(DSEC) has announced MICE statistics for the second quarter of 2012. There were 130,016 MICE visitors in the quarter, up 7.9% over last year’s 120,462.
A total of 234 MICE events were held during this period, down 10% from the 260 events held in the same quarter of 2011. Among the MICE events held in the quarter, 226 were meetings and eight were exhibitions.

Landscape and urban design trade exhibition and conference, GreenUrbanScape Asia, will be launched at the Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre next year running Nov. 7-9.

Last week, international exhibition organiser, UBM plc, announced the launch of new events in Asia: the Singapore Jewellery & Gem Fair and Rail Asia in Malaysia.
Singapore Jewellery & Gem Fair will take place at the Marina Bay Sands running from 12th to 15th October 2013. The exhibition will feature exhibitors of diamonds, pearls, precious and semi-precious gemstones, fine jewellery and silver jewellery. i2i Events Group, formerly Emap Connect, announced the acquisition of the Coil Winding, Insulation and Electrical Manufacturing Exhibitions (CWIEME) portfoliofrom private owners Timothy and Joanne House. This is i2i’s first acquisition since its re-branding. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
