February 27, 2018

The San Diego Convention Center has selected ON Site, a division of ON Services, as its preferred provider of audio-visual services and its exclusive provider of production rigging and in-house sound. The contract will begin May 1.

Owned by GES, ON Services is a leading provider of global live event audio visual services that include AV design, lighting, projection mapping and scenic design services. ON Site provides in-house audio-visual and technology services to convention centers, hotels and resorts across the U.S.

The SDCC hosts conventions, trade shows and community events year-round. ON Site will provide the 2.6 million sq. ft. waterfront facility with a full spectrum of audio-visual and production rigging services supporting conventions, trade shows, meetings and special events.

"One of our core values is service,” said Karen Totaro, CVE, executive vice president and general manager of the San Diego Convention Center Corporation. “We are confident that ON Site will help us fulfill our promise of providing outstanding customer service so that our clients will want to bring their events back to San Diego."

Brian Hefner, executive vice president of ON Services, expressed excitement about the partnership.

“The San Diego Convention Center is a leading facility and we share their team’s commitment to providing exceptional service,” Hefner said. “We are excited to partner with them as we provide audio-visual and production rigging services, delivered with excellence.”

ON Site has a positive track record for providing event services in large metro area convention centers. The group is already the preferred in-house audio-visual provider for Atlanta venues including the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia International Convention Center, the Cobb Galleria Center and the Cobb Energy Center.

Carmenlita Scott, CISM, president and CEO of the Atlanta Airport Chamber, has held a number of events with the ON Services team at the GICC.

“ON Services employees understand the importance of our brand and the focus we put on relationships with our exhibiting partners,” Scott said.

She added, “The follow-through and attention to detail displayed by ON Services’ staff is second to none. They understand our needs in a manner that helps us achieve exceptional results for the overall event.”
