IAAPA Moves Asian Attractions Expo Moves Back to China in 2016

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions’ Asian Attractions Expo (AAE) 2016 will take place June 13-16 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).

Since 1997, Asian Attractions Expo has been the premier international trade show and conference for the multibillion-dollar leisure and attractions industry in the Asia-Pacific region. IAAPA, the trade association for the attractions industry worldwide, produces the annual Expo. 

"We are thrilled to take Asian Attractions Expo back to China," said IAAPA President and CEO Paul Noland. "We selected Shanghai, one of the most established business centers in China, as it is reflective of the tremendous international appeal of our industry to the Asia-Pacific region and the industry's dynamic growth."

More than 7,000 attractions industry professionals from more than 65 nations are expected to participate in the event. T

he trade show floor will showcase innovative products and services from more than 300 companies from around the world in more than 100 categories, including amusement and theme park rides; architectural and design services; coin-operated games, skill games, and redemption prizes; food and beverage equipment; water park attractions; and much more. 

The trade show floor is the place where CEOs, directors, general managers, and senior managers of amusement and theme parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, science centers, family entertainment centers, and resorts gather to experience what's new in the attractions industry and purchase attractions and services to enhance their guest experience and increase revenue at their facilities.

The event includes education sessions related to safety, operations, marketing, human resources, and management presented by worldwide industry leaders in each discipline. 

Session discussions will center on industry trendsand best practices, and throughout the week participants will network with colleagues to strengthen longtime business relationships and establish new business contacts. 
 
Shanghai sits on China's central coast. It is the country's largest city and a global financial hub. The city boasts the world's busiest port and has committed to opening the region's premier international financial, shipping, and trade center in 2020.

Its heart is the Bund, a famed waterfront promenade lined with colonial-era buildings. Across the Huangpu River rises Pudong's futuristic skyline, including 632-meter Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, with its distinctive pink spheres.
