Crédit Agricole Assurances Plans to Take Charterhouse Capital Stake in Comexposium

Crédit Agricole Assurances has entered into exclusive discussions with Charterhouse Capital Partners with a view to acquiring its stake in the Comexposium group.

Crédit Agricole Assurances, which will thus become the long-term partner of the group's historical shareholder, the Paris-Île-de-France Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and of the group’s managers, wishes to support Comexposium in its strategy and continuing expansion.

“Since 2015, Charterhouse was a good financial partners to us,” said Comexposium President Renaud Hamaide.

He added, "During this time, we were able to accelerate our growth, especially internationally, strengthening our position as a leading global events organizer. We are looking forward to having another positive shareholder relationship with Crédit Agricole Assurances (CAA), and of course, continuing to work well with our long-term shareholder, the Paris Chamber of Commerce (CCIR).”

Comexposium has 67 event brands, covering 11 business sectors, including events such as: SIAL, Intermat, Paris International Agricultural Show, SIMA and Foire de Paris.

Globally, Comexposium hosts B2B and B2B2C events across many different sectors, significantly in agriculture, construction, fashion, food, health, leisure, real estate, retail, security, students, tourism, and works council. At events, in over 30 countries, Comexposium welcomes more than 3.5 million visitors and 48,000 exhibitors annually.

Headquartered in France, Comexposium’s employees and sales network operate in 22 countries.
