All Baby & Child, owner of the ABC Kids Expo held earlier this year in Louisville, Ky., decided to team up with two other baby and maternity product-related trade shows – the China-based Children’s Baby Maternity Expo and the U.K.-based the Harrogate Nursery Fair/Baby Products Association. The 2013 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), which is on tap Jan. 29-31 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center, has set a record, with more than 1,150 exhibitors, covering 430,000-plus net square feet of exhibit space. For the ninth quarter in a row, the trade show industry still is growing, according to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research’s latest CEIR Index, albeit at a slower rate in the third quarter of this year, with concerns over not only the looming fiscal cliff, but also the global economy. People just want to have fun, and that was apparent with the recent success of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions trade show – IAAPA Attractions Expo 2012 – held Nov. 12-16 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
