Six months after taking over management of the NACE/CARS event from Hanley Wood Exhibitions, show officials with Houston-based business-to-business media company, Stone Fort Group, said they expect the show to be double in size when it runs July 13-Aug. 2 at the Cobo Center in Detroit. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ CONEXPO-CON/AGG sprawled over the Las Vegas Convention Center campus March 4 -8 beating even the most optimistic expectations. The triennial event took more than 2.35 million net square feet of exhibit space, featured some 2,400 exhibitors and attracted close to 130,000 attendees. Tarsus Group and E.J. Krause & Associates have expanded their partnership even more by adding the planned launch of Industrial Print Expo next year. People looking to start their own businesses flocked to Houston recently for Franchise Expo South, with 11,000 attendees checking out 200 different franchise opportunities.
