Reed Exhibitions Japan’s 24th edition of the Japan IT Week Spring show recently closed at the Tokyo Big Sight venue recording 10% growth in total exhibition space over its previous edition. A total of 1,487 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions were hosted across 12 specialised exhibitions. The 2015 edition of Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia), co-organised by Reed Exhibitions Greater China and the American Gaming Association (AGA), featured 180 exhibitors covering 8,500 m2 of exhibition space. In its 9th edition this year, G2E Asia was held from 19th to 21st May at the Venetian Macao. Taiwan will hold its first metal industry exhibition, International Metal Technology Taiwan, at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC) from 2nd to 4th December 2015. International exhibition organiser, Tarsus Group, announced the 2016 edition of its Labelexpo India will relocate to another venue, the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. The four-day show will run from 17th to 20th November. The previous edition of the biennial Labelexpo India took place at Pragati Maidan from 29th October to 1st November 2014 occupying 4,663 m2. The 2014 event also featured 147 exhibitors and 7,927 visitors. SmithBucklin acquired The Townsend Group, a Chevy Chase, Md.-based advertising, exhibit and sponsorship sales and management organization for associations. The announcement was made by Henry Givray, president and CEO of SmithBucklin, and Holly Townsend, founder and CEO of The Townsend Group. U.K.-based UBM has named Simon Foster, current CEO of UBM EMEA, as CEO of UBM Americas. UBM has bought the largest health care show in Latin America – Hospitalar – from SPFC Group.
