More than 3,000 Attendees Take Part in Rehabilitation Show in Russia

The second edition of the Integration. Life. Society., International Trade and Event Fair for the Physically Challenged drew not only more than 3,100 attendees, but also exhibitors from around the world.

During the three days of the trade fair, visitors who are physically challenged and their family members gathered information on support and care strategies, attended talks and played an active part in the cultural and sports programs.  

“Enabling people with disabilities and special care needs to lead self-determined lives is a complex task and demands the commitment of society as a whole,”saidVladimir Petroysan, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Urban Department of Social Security, at the trade fair’s opening ceremony.

 During Integration. Life. Society. 2012, 96 exhibitors from Russia, Germany, Finland, China, Taiwan, Belarus and Ukraine showcased the latest products for daily living, mobility, physiotherapy, ergotherapy, care and medical treatmen,t as well as orthopedic aids.

The extensive program included sports activities, the “Accessible Cinema” film festival, the “Dogs Are Assistants to the Disabled” dog training center, the Ronald McDonald Center and a cultural program.

At the concurrently held 4th International Moscow Government Conference, current opportunities for the integration of the physically challenged and their participation in society were discussed.

More than 700 participants from Russia and neighboring countries attended this year’s conference. At the Bezgraniz Couture™ – International Fashion and Accessories Award 2012 – jurors from nine countries judged clothing and shoe collections for people with disabilities.

The next Integration. Life. Society. will take place from April 25 – 27 in Moscow.

Additionally, attendees can benefit from 20 double-sided 55" mobile flexible display units, facilitating effortless navigation to meeting rooms and events. RFID locks were installed on all meeting room doors, and over 200 motion detection cameras have been placed throughout the space. Refreshing New Design & Fine Art The newly remodeled convention space provides a bright and vibrant atmosphere that complements Mandalay Bay's tropical-inspired brand. Featuring white-washed walls and ceilings adorned with bold floral patterns in cerulean and coral tones, the space is complemented by warm walnut accent walls. In addition to the redesign of all pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, Mandalay Bay's 1 million square feet of exhibit space has undergone a rejuvenation, including new paint, covered pillars and relocated strobe lights.
