Top 40 Fastest-growing Trade Show Winners Announced for 2nd Annual TSNN Event Excellence Awards

Trade Show News Network, a division of Tarsus Advon, is pleased to announce the Top 40 Fastest-growing Trade Shows in Attendance and Net Square Footage Growth that will be honored during the 2nd Annual TSNN Event Excellence Awards Nov. 4-6 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

"These trade shows have been selected for grow and innovation by demonstrating an ability to excel beyond the standards of the marketplace,” said Stephen Nold, president of Tarsus Advon. “I am excited to celebrate with the winners as we recognize their achievements."

The winners in overall net square growth from 2008 to 2010 range from Modern Day Marine Expo to the OFFPRICE Specialist Show – August to the True Value Fall and Sprint Markets.

The winners in overall attendance growth from 2008 to 2010 also are a diverse mix, such as the National Retail Federation’s Annual Convention & EXPO – Retail’s BIG Show to the American Urological Association Annual Meeting to the International Workboat Show. Winning shows were determined through TSNN data and a verification process.

“The notification of this (award) is a great pleasure,” said Kristy Breaux, who oversees the Texas Computer Education Association’s events. “We are thrilled to be recognized and thankful for the TSNN group for creating a source for acknowledging the accomplishments of our industry.”

T-awards event highlights feature a “State of the Industry” session Saturday morning with Vinnie Polito, chair of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, and Sean Guerre, chair of the Society of Independent Show Organizers, discussing the state of the trade show industry with moderator Stephen Nold, president of Tarsus Advon, a division of U.K.-based Tarsus Group (owner of TSNN).

The C-level executive conference also will include a panel on the latest in social media with show managers, as well a session talking a look a Visa issues with Patricia Rojas, U.S. Travel Association vice president of government relations, and what the industry is doing to ease international visitation to trade shows.

The gala awards evening will celebrate not only the fastest-growing shows in attendance and net square footage, but also the show with the best social media outreach and marketing, a special “Industry Icon Award” and TSNN’s very first “Best of Show” award.

The top THREE entries will be reviewed by a select panel of judges and then the industry will vote through an extensive social media and PR campaign which one deserves to be “Best of Show”. The show managers from the three shows will be invited to the 2011 TSNN Event Excellence Awards celebration where the winner will be named.
