Ted Bahr, president and CEO of Melville, N.Y.-based BZ Media, said now is the right time to launch a new show his company’s been strategizing about for a while: InterDrone, the International Drone Conference and Exposition will debut Sept. 9-11 next year in Las Vegas.

UBM Asia (Thailand), a subsidiary of UBM Asia, has announced plans for the third edition of Thai Water in 2015. The biennial trade show focuses on the water and waste water treatment industry and will be held from 10th to 13th June at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). Thai Water is supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).

Atlas Event Technologies successfully provided their ShowAtlas on-site wayfinding product for national Retail Federation’s the 2014 Shop.org Summit and secured the commitment for their larger Retail’s BIG Show coming up in January.
“We were very pleased with the ShowAtlas on-site wayfinders that we used at the 2014 Shop.org Summit, and we will be using the ShowAtlas on-site product again for the 2015 Retail’s BIG Show,” said Mark Bogdansky, vice president Exhibit Operations at NRF.

Earlier this month, trade show organiser, AMB Exhibitions, hosted more than 250 exhibitors at the Cambodian capital city of Phnom Penh. The co-located trade shows CAMFOOD Expo and CAMHOTEL were held at the Diamond Island Exhibition Centre from 8th to 10th October 2014.
Covering the hotel and food and beverage industries, exhibitor products at the shows included meat, seafood, juices, wine, spirits, beer, coffee, bakery, kitchen equipment and supplies, toiletries and furnishing and beddings. Earlier this week, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) held two co-located electronics trade shows at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) with a combined attendance of 4,100 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions.
According to the HKTDC, more than 130 buying missions consisting of 9,900 trade buyers from 68 countries and regions were invited to the twin shows. The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) focuses on finished electronic products with new product zones this year highlighting wearable technology, health monitoring gadgets and 3D printing.

The recent staging of wire China 2014, the 6th All China International Wire and Cable Industry Trade Fair, and Tube China 2014, the 6th All China International Tube and Pipe Trade Fair, in Shanghai closed to record results: a total of 1,461 exhibitors presented the latest technology, machinery and products from the wire, cable and tube processing industries to more than 38,000 visitors.

Diversified Communications acquired media company HRM Asia of Singapore, its fifth international acquisition of 2014.
The acquisition establishes an operating division in Singapore and adds HR Summit, Asia’s largest human resources event, as well as the HRM Congress series, HRM Magazine and HRM Online to Diversified’s portfolio of more than175 events, eMedia products and print magazines.

Exhibit Surveys and Lippman Connects recently released the second annual report: “Issues and Trends in Exhibit Space and Sponsorship Sales”.
According to the survey of event organizer executives, growth in both exhibit space and sponsorships sales appears healthy.
Improvements in the economy and support by industries represented by the events were cited as the primary reasons for growth in both areas.
