Earlier this week, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council(HKTDC) published its annual report for the financial year ended 31st March 2014. Revenues generated from exhibitions and trade missions were US$240 million, a year-on-year growth of 14%. Overall, the HKTDC’s total revenues, including the government subvention of US$50 million, were US$353 million, up 9.6%.   Revenues from product magazines & online marketplace were US$25 million, an increase of 2.2% over 2013. June marked a month filled with people news that included long-time industry veterans announcing they were retiring, other trade show professionals being promoted and new hires into some companies. Elvis and Liberace used to live there and its one of the few properties right next to the Las Vegas Convention Center, but now the hotel most recently known as the LVH – Las Vegas Hilton was bought by Florida-based Westgate Resorts. The hotel will be renamed the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
