The ibtm america “Innovation in Motion Award” which was presented for the first time as part of a new initiative titled the TECHCollective, was jointly won this year by InitLive and EventCollab.   InitLive is an online tool and mobile app for managing staff and volunteers at events. It equips event planners, event staff and volunteers with a real-time communication system and a comprehensive scheduling service. Is your event website failing to generate enough repeat visits and continued engagement from your website visitors? If the answer is yes, chances are that the website is not providing them with the compelling interactive content and engaging experience that would give them a reason to stick around and keep coming back periodically to check what’s new. As a trade show organizer, your primary focus is on managing the innumerable logistics for the actual event, and rightly so. Despite polls indicating that the opposite result would be achieved, Britain has voted to leave the European Union, which it has been a member of since the mid-1970s. The vote’s impact on the British pound and stock markets worldwide was swift, with the U.K. currency dropping to a 30-year low and the FTSE 100 also seeing steep declines. As a strong backer of the ‘Remain’ campaign, British Prime Minister David Cameron also announced that he would be stepping down from his post in the next few months as a result of the ‘Leave’ campaign winning the vote. The Classic Auto Show, for collectors, aficionados, manufacturers and experts in the classic car markets, will feature an expansive showcase of wall-to-wall classic cars and automotive merchandise, including vintage parts, tools and accessories, memorabilia and other nostalgia. The summer months have not slowed down business in the event industry, with several companies signing new contracts and renewing existing ones to kick off the sunny season. SEMI, producer of SEMICON West, has renewed their contract for another three years with Convention Data Services (CDS), its registration partner for the past nine years.
