This stupendous navigational feat will enable NASA’s team to proceed with future orbits and science experiments as planned, without having to make any major adjustments. What a great achievement!

Phoenix Convention Center’s First Responders Receive New Public Safety System

Smart City Networks has received final approval for a public-safety distributed antenna system it installed last year at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Smart City Networks partnered with system integration firm Connectivity Wireless Solutions (CWS) to design, install, manage and commission the customized, turnkey system that ensures first responders can maintain communication with each other in case of an emergency.

Digital Marketing Platform Company Feathr Scores $2 Million in Venture Capital Funding

Feathr, the Event Marketing Cloud, received $2 million in venture capital funding to continue its growth and development as a digital marketing platform for event professionals.

This investment was led by Florida Gulfshore Capital, with participation from the Florida Opportunity Fund (co-managed by Arsenal Venture Partners), the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and several strategic partners. Previous investors Capital Factory also participated.

New York’s Javits Convention Center Livestreams Wildlife on Its Green Roof

If anyone needs a little glimpse of nature in the middle of a concrete jungle, just log onto the new live video web stream from the Javits Convention Center of New York’s green roof, the second largest of its kind in the United States.

The live stream, which displays a rooftop view of Manhattan’s rapidly developing West Side, will be available 24 hours a day and provide users with a unique perspective of the 6.75-acre green roof.

40% of Meetings Professionals Use Laptops, Devices to Capture Content Real-time

Emphasizing the growing role that technology plays in the meetings world, key findings of new research carried out for IMEX America by Meeting Professionals International (MPI) show that more than 40 percent of the MPI Research Panel members surveyed use laptops or mobile devices to capture content real-time.

Of that group, 10.5 percent of these professionals always use them for note taking and 31.6 percent use them sometimes.

Handwritten notes continue to be the choice of the majority (57.1 percent), while just 0.8 percent record their observations.
