Food&HotelVietnam and ISH China & CIHE Shows Both Change Dates

January 25, 2012
Both the Food&HotelVietnam show and the ISH China & CIHE, the China International Trade Fair for Sanitation, Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning event recently decided to change the dates of their events. FHV is a trade show dedicated to the foodservice and hospitality industry in Vietnam and will be moved up five months in a strategic and long-term move to match the buying cycles of the Vietnamese market. Organized by Allworld member, Singapore Exhibition Services and local co-organizer, VCCI Exhibition Service, the next edition of FHV now will be held April 24-26, 2013, at the same venue, Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Moving FHV forward allows exhibitors to meet with buyers during the important purchasing period between April and September, according to show organizers. "SES is always striving to bring our events to a higher level by listening to, and incorporating feedback, from our exhibitors and visitors,ヤ said Ting Siew Mui, Project Director of Lifestyle Events, SES. She added, モWith the fast-moving nature of Vietnam's foodservice and hospitality industry, we have to constantly evolve to keep up with the times. By moving the dates from September to April, the local foodservice and hospitality communities will be able to peruse the wide range of products and services that will be displayed across the exhibition showfloor and make purchasing decisions that can add benefit to their business over a longer period of time.ヤ The date change has been well-received by members of the Vietnamese foodservice and hospitality industry. "September to March is always the most hectic period for the hospitality and foodservice industry, especially in Asia where we have the Lunar New Year just weeks after Christmas and the New Year,ヤ said Norbert Ehrbar, vice president of Saigon Professional Chefs' Guild. He added, モAs such, it's great to hear that FHV2013 is moving forward from September to April as it allows the industry more time to purchase equipment and food and drink supplies.ヤ The ISH China & CIHE show, organized by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) and B&D Tiger Exhibition and supported by international and domestic industry associations, is making a smaller date change from April 2-4 to April 4-6 at Beijing's New China International Exhibition Center. モThe Chinese government has just decreed that the national Tomb Sweeping public holiday will be extended to April 2-4, which was our original show date. To accommodate these new and additional public holidays, we have changed our show dates to April 4-6,ヤ said Richard Li, deputy general manager of Messe Frankfurt in China. He added, モWith this change, the new date will be more convenient for exhibitors and visitors, and we will ensure that our various services, publicity and promotion work will support both exhibitor and visitor objectives.ヤ Li added that more than 700 exhibitors already have signed up for ISH China & CIHE, with 40 percent of exhibitors having bigger booths at the 2012 show, compared with the 2011 show. モAs a result, 90 percent of the total 70,000 square meter exhibition area has already been sold,ヤ he said.
