Global Sources has formed a new partnership in order to launch Machinery & Industrial Supplies Fair at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The event will be Global Sources first exhibition aimed at serving the Indian domestic market.
It will be co-hosted by Infocom Network Ltd., the owner and operator of Tradeindia.com and will be collocated with the Mumbai edition of the China Sourcing Fairs running from Nov. 23-25.

In April, nine exhibitions focusing on various industries were held and thousands of exhibitors and visitors gathered for business and networking at China’s Zhengzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Among the nine exhibitions held last month, three of them were new exhibitions held at the ZZICEC for the first time.

It’s a busy time at South Korea’s BEXCO, the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center, with visits by international inspection teams of large conventions that are scheduled to be held there.
The inspection teams consist of not only the working-level staff, but also high-level officials, such as the presidents of world federations and the presidents of the organizing committees.

UBM India will launch a new event next month - the inaugural IFSEC South India will take place June 1-3 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has announced plans to promote five events in key industries to boost the country’s MICE status in the region. The events will be promoted under a new marketing campaign “Better the Best.” TCEB officials said VIV Asia, BIG & BIH, Renewable Energy Asia, ProPak Asia and Metalex were ranked as top five shows in 2010 in terms of highest visitor count or other key metrics.

Shanghai-based NürnbergMesse China, a subsidiary of NürnbergMesse Group in Germany, has announced the launch of a new automotive trade show in partnership with the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China). The 109th edition of the China Import and Export Fair – also known as the Canton Fair – recently concluded its first session that ran April 15-19, with reported transactions worth more than $23 billion, according to the organiser. Approximately, 102,000 visitors were recorded - up 9 percent from the same session last year.
