Last Call to Enter the ibtm world 2017 Tech Watch Award!

August 31, 2017

Technology companies with new products or services relevant to the meetings, incentive, conference and events (MICE) industry have until Sept. 8 to enter the ibtm world Tech Watch Award.

The Tech Watch Award 2017 winner will be announced at ibtm world 2017, taking place Nov. 28-30 at Fira Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain.

Designed to recognize the achievements of up and coming technologies in the meetings and events space, the highly competitive Tech Watch Award gives technology companies the opportunity to showcase their products to thousands of global buyers, influencers and media in the lively and interactive Innovation Zone at ibtm world.

“The ibtm world Tech Watch Award offers businesses a rare opportunity to showcase new products to a high-profile audience and previous winners have seen tangible long-term benefits from the exposure they’ve gained,” said Kerry Prince, portfolio director of ibtm events.

She continued, “Footfall to our Innovation Zone is increasing year-on-year (and) entering the award is a great opportunity for organizations to capitalize on the fact that our attendees have a huge appetite to discover and experience the latest exciting technologies that could really make a difference to their business.”

This year, the Tech Watch Award will boast three award categories: Logistics and Production, Management and Marketing and Audience Engagement.

Entries will be judged by a panel of well-known experts from the events and technology industries, and will be chaired by trade show and event technology industry expert Corbin Ball.

Judges include Michelle Bruno, president of Bruno Group Signature Events; Dahlia El Gazzar, founder of DAHLIA+ Inc; Ruud Janssen, founder of TNOC.org and co-founder EMG; Pádraic Gilligan, managing partner at SoolNua; Paul Hussey, director of The Conference Doctor and Julius Solaris, founder and editor of Event MB.

The judges will select a winner and two finalists in each award category, who will all be offered the opportunity to feature their products or solutions in the Innovation Zone. Judges will then vote for one of the three category winners to be named the overall Tech Watch Award winner.

As the industry’s longest-standing award of its kind, the Tech Watch Award is well-recognized across the MICE industry due to the exposure winners receive during and post-event via ibtm’s marketing channels including press releases, online content and onsite activity, as well as the event’s high-profile judges.
