Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Welcomes New Director of Human Resources
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre has announced the appointment of Muhammad Vickneswaran as its new Director of Human Resources (HR).
Vickneswaran is a senior HR professional with more than 27 years’ experience in human resources specifically in the hospitality industry.
Welcoming Vickneswaran to the Centre’s award-winning team, General Manager, Alan Pryor, said, “We are excited to have Muhammad Vickneswaran onboard. We are confident that the Centre will benefit immensely from his vast knowledge and experience in Human Resources to further grow our HR capabilities to better meet our clients’ needs and world-class service expectations.”
As Director of Human Resources, he is responsible for overseeing all HR functions including employee relations and Ambassador management, compensation and benefits, training and development and ensuring the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the Food Safety, Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health (FOQESH) and Business Continuity Management Systems.
Besides Vickneswaran’s extensive tenure in the hospitality industry, his last notable appointment prior to joining the Centre, was General Manager - Human Resources for East Malaysia & Brunei, Dairy Farm Malaysia, where he was responsible for recruitment, payroll administration, industrial relations, training and development and employee engagement for 25 hyper and supermarkets with a workforce of over 2,100.
Vickneswaraan holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree with a major in Human Resource Management from the University of Tasmania.
Vickneswaran kicked off his career at Singer (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as a Training Officer, and since then has undertaken numerous HR roles in the hospitality and retail sectors.
