GLM’s Online Product Directory for NY NOW Surpasses Expectations

September 14, 2013

George Little Management’s online product directory to complement its live NY NOW show, NYNOW365.com , has surpassed the company’s expectations, by far, with nearly 12,000 qualified home, lifestyle and craft retailers registered to check out the wares.

In addition, 1,100-plus manufacturers, almost half the NY NOW exhibitor base, are showcased, representing some 45,000 searchable products.

The live NY NOW event was held in August at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center of New York.

"Since its April 2013 launch, NYNOW365 has shattered projections, with over 3.1 million product views and 50,000 unique visitors," said Charles McCurdy, GLM CEO and chairman.  "This is a game-changer in the way NY NOW helps suppliers find buyers, and retail buyers find products and the vendors who offer them."

He added, "We introduced the online directory as part of a strategy to expand market services and opportunities for buyer-seller connectivity.  Its ease of use and image-based layout have had instant appeal for retailers and manufacturers alike."

Registered site users can conduct searches by product category or NY NOW collection; request product information; compile product lists; and create image boards using their favorite products and manufacturers.

Exhibitor David Urso of David Urso Studio said, "I have gotten some great new leads and orders... it is a fun, quick and easy way to promote new work."

Maria May of World Buyers added, "This is the best venue site of them all!  Visuals, ease of use, navigating, etc... Great job!" To date, NYNOW365 has generated 2,500 leads for participating manufacturers.

Building on NY NOW's success, GLM has expanded its suite of online sourcing tools to include 365 platforms for the National Stationery Show (www.stationeryshow365.com) and International Contemporary Furniture Fair (www.icff365.com). Plans are in development to launch a similar product for Surf Expo.

"Digital resources are an integral part of GLM's goal of enhancing customer experiences and creating efficiencies to the flow of merchandise," said Jason Brown, GLM chief digital officer.

He added, "The high adoption rate experienced by NYNOW365.com speaks to our customers' interest in and need for online marketing support. More than 40 percednt of NY NOW exhibitors have taken advantage of this new digital resource to generate high-quality retail leads all year round."
