Glisser Launches Hybrid Audience Engagement Platform

April 5, 2018

Glisser, producer of the Glisser presentation software, integrated audience response system and event analytics platform has launched Glisser LIVE, a new online tool that allows event planners to promote and host hybrid and virtual events.

Hybrid events extend marketing and community reach beyond face-to-face interactions. Glisser LIVE delivers the ability for event planners to connect a virtual audience to a physical event. The new offering combines the company’s existing slide-sharing and audience response app with a live video feed and brandable web platform to engage remote attendees.

Glisser’s platform is used by hundreds of clients to improve audience engagement at events. The company is one of the Event Tech Tribe’s founding members.

“Always ensuring that solutions are best in craft - and therefore Event Tech Tribe-worthy - means continuously staying ahead of the trends and that’s what’s inspired the creation of Glisser LIVE,” said CEO Mike Piddock.

Glisser’s software includes multiple options for audience response, including polling, quizzing, Q&A and social feeds. Slides are delivered in real-time and can be easily downloaded. The event video feed can be extracted from multiple sources including YouTube Live.

Meaghan Carey, Glisser’s U.S. general manager, said that she is seeing customers push the boundaries of events in many ways.

“One company trained hundreds of people at once all around the world and used live-quizzing to gauge their learning instantly, and others have run webcasts with integrated ‘spot polls’ to ensure people are really engaged, not actually doing something else on screen,” Carey explained.

Being a member of the Event Tech Tribe means that the data captured within Glisser’s tools can be easily funneled into partner InsightXM’s analytics and infographics platform.

Brent Pearson, CEO of InsightXM, said, “Data capture in the middle of sessions, whether in-room or online is genuinely valuable to event planners and we’re looking forward to the insights we can capture as a result.”
