Clarion UX Healthy Food and Foodservice Events Form Partnership with Green Restaurant Association

June 21, 2018

Healthy Food Expo, a series of trade shows that brings together the leading purveyors of healthy, natural and organic products has partnered with the Green Restaurant Association, which has signed on as a participating organization.

The Healthy Food Expo is set to take place Aug. 19-21 alongside the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo and Coffee Fest at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and Sept. 6-8 with the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

The event will also debut March 3-5 in New York City, where it will collocate with the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York and Coffee Fest at the Javits Center.

“We are looking forward to working with The Green Restaurant Association, which brings a commitment to teaching restaurants how to become more environmentally sustainable and provide more locally grown foods (that are) so important for so many of our attendees,” said Tom Loughran, vice president of the Clarion UX foodservice event portfolio.

He continued, “The Green Restaurant Association will join our existing partners, eatCleaner; Gourmet Business; Healthy Dining; Produce Business and MenuTrinfo; CRA; FRLA; NYSRA and the Avalon Group, (which) is the anchor sponsor for Healthy Food Expo West.”

As part of its mission to provide dependable and transparent information about green products, the Green Restaurant Association will conduct an analysis of the hundreds of vendors at these shows and then produce a Green Products Guide that will make it easy for attendees to know which booths have green products.

As a non-profit that works to encourage the food industry to “go green,” the Green Restaurant Association focuses on restaurants, distributors and manufacturers, and provides a certification program for participating companies.

The group operates in 41 states and Canada and has been the main driving force of the green restaurant movement for 28 years.

“We are so excited to announce this sponsorship with the Foodservice Events,” said Michael Oshman, CEO and Founder of the Green Restaurant Association. “These trade events will be a great resource for restaurants and vendors in three major markets and we are thrilled to be working with them.”

He continued, “Our mission is to spread awareness about rising green standards in the food industry and we are pleased to provide restaurant and foodservice professionals with access to the Green Products Guide at each of the events. These guides include green tips, product listings, eco-terms and facts.”
