4th Annual Tech Startup Pavilion and Competition to Take Place at IAEE’s Expo! Expo!

For the fourth year in a row, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) will be featuring its Tech Startup Pavilion and Competition at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition, set for Dec. 11-13 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

This year, the Pavilion will be sponsored by Visit Austin and the Austin Convention Center.

“It’s a privilege for Austin to sponsor this highly impressive competition activated on the floor of Expo! Expo! 2018,” said Steve Genovesi, vice president of Visit Austin.

He continued, “New technology and startups are fueling Austin’s economy and we look forward to supporting companies that want to provide cutting edge ideas for the events industry.”

The Tech Startup Pavilion is open to technology-based companies who have been in existence for less than two years, are a new or second-year exhibitor at Expo! Expo!, have launched a product within the last 12 months and report an annual revenue of less than $500,000.

The Pavilion is also the staging area for the Expo! Expo! Tech Competition, where these exhibitors will have the opportunity to demonstrate their company’s solution in a five-minute presentation followed by a two-minute Q&A session.

A panel of industry experts will judge the presentations and then select a winner who will be announced during the IAEE Annual Networking Luncheon & Awards Presentation on Dec. 13.
