Marketplace Events Continues to Expand with Buy of Casa Latina Home Expo
Marketplace Events already has bought several events this year to add to their portfolio, and now they have scooped another one for the rapidly expanding Hispanic market – Casa Latina Home Expo.
Scheduled for Nov. 15 in New York City, Casa Latina Home Expo is also on tap to launch into two more markets next year; May 29-31 at the Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC), and Orlando, which will run Sept. 18-20 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee.
Marketplace Events CEO Tom Baugh views his company’s new partnership with Casa Latina Home Expo as “a hell of an opportunity that has the potential to be a game-changer for the industry.”
Hispanic-Americans are “emerging as a powerhouse of economic influence” according to Nielsen. They are a vital driver of the nation’s homeownership demand, accounting for nearly half of all growth from 2000 to 2013, and wield an estimated purchasing power of more than $1.2 trillion.
To date, according to Marketplace Events officials, the “expo industry has been ineffective in launching consumer shows that resonate with Hispanics, a demographic that has earned the designation ‘super consumers.’”
Casa Latina Home Expo is just the latest in a series of shows that Marketplace Events has bought this year, including two home shows in Raleigh, N.C. and another, the Edmonton Renovation Show in Alberta, Canada.
They also have launched several home shows in cities such as Salt Lake City, Oklahoma City, Toronto, Birmingham, Ala., Cleveland and New Orleans.
