Building Solar China – Conference and Exhibition Relocates to Shanghai in 2014

May 16, 2014

The organizers of Building Solar China – Conference and Exhibition, Messe Frankfurt and WIP, organizer of international solar conferences and exhibitions, have changed the date and location for the 2014 show.

The show will be held Sept. 4 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Originally scheduled for June in Guangzhou, the event will be relocated to accommodate market trends within the building and solar technology sectors in China.

“Intelligent Green Building and Smart Cities are currently China’s main urban development focuses, and the mission for creating a greener and energy-efficient country remains a top priority,” said Lucia Wong, deputy general manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd.

She added, “The relocation of Building Solar China is part of our effort to facilitate the current and future development of the country’s building technology. Scheduled to be held concurrently with three other Messe Frankfurt shows, we aim to create an inclusive platform for all sectors of the intelligent and green building industry in Shanghai, one of the most influential cities within East China and the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone.”

The annual event consists mainly of high-level conferences, along with a product display area, providing a platform for introducing the latest trends and applications for smart solar building’s implementation.

Prominent speakers from domestic and overseas industry associations, as well as research institutes, will be invited to share their insights.

“Smart Solar Building Solutions” and “Building Integrated Photovoltaic Systems” will be the two major discussion themes at the conference.

Highlighted topics include smart solar building solutions, solar building energy infrastructure, market analysis, government policy as well as various case studies.

In addition, some of the latest products on display at the 2014 event will include building-integrated photovoltaic systems (BIPV), specialised solar facades and curtain walls for buildings, innovative energy-saving and energy renewal solutions.

The third edition Building Solar China will be held concurrently with Messe Frankfurt’s Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology Fair, ISH Shanghai & CIHE and Shanghai International Lighting Fair.

Collectively known as the “Intelligent Green Building – IGB” exhibition platform, themes on building automation covered across the associated shows include building energy efficiency, intelligent cities, smart homes, development of solar thermal technology as well as various energy-efficient lighting solutions.

The four events are expected to take place across more than 40,000 square meters of exhibition space and attract visitors from a wide range of disciplines including system integrators, architects, contractors, engineering designers, contractors, property owners developers and more.
