World's Largest Chinese Medicine Fair on Tap in August in Hong Kong
The place to be to learn everything there is to know about Chinese medicine is the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in August to take part in the International Conference & Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products (ICMCM).
“Industry players from across the globe will connect for business and keep abreast of the latest developments in Chinese medicine and health products,” according to Hong Kong Trade Development Council officials, which owns the show.
The show, which is scheduled Aug. 15-17, drew more than 10,000 visitors from 42 countries and regions last year, who came to source a wide variety of products, including Chinese medicine, functional food & products, health supplement, health care & therapy from 115 exhibitors.
Visitor number rose by more than 8 percent in 2012, compared with the 2011 show, according to organizers.
This year’s fair introduces the new “Beauty & Fitness” zone, which will allow buyers to find health & beauty, toiletry & personal care products, cosmetic accessories & personal care items and fitness equipment.
The two-day professional conference’s theme this year is“The Advanced Research and Development of Chinese Medicine on Cancer Treatment.”Industry experts will be taking part and share their insights into the latest industry developments and research findings.
Other key features of the event include the exhibitors’ forum at which exhibitors present their latest products and services directly to visitors. The final day of the show is open to members of the public and includes a public forum with Chinese medicine practitioners providing advice on how to apply Chinese medicine to daily life.
The HKTDC Food Expoand HKTDC Hong Kong International Tea Fair will run concurrently with ICMCM.
