1,450 booths at TAITRONICS 2011

The 37th edition of the Taipei International Electronics Show (TAITRONICS) recently concluded at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall, with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) forecasting US$300 million worth of business orders fulfilled at the four-day trade show held Oct. 10-13.

Co-organised by TAITRA and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA), approximately 3,500 trade visitors were expected to attend the show, which featured 800 exhibitors at 1,450 booths. TAITRONICS was collocated with Broadband Taiwan 2011, and together featured products in categories including radio frequency identification (RFID), broadband communications, digital TVs and value-added services, and cloud computing.

Taiwan’s electrical and electronics industries reportedly generated revenue of US$241 billion, which accounted for 53.1 percent of the country’s total industrial revenues last year. The 2010 edition of TAITRONICS featured 813 exhibitors and 1,570 booths.
