Informa Teams with Info Salons and Konduko to Unveil Smart Badge Readers at Agra Middle East
Informa Exhibitions unveiled for the first time at Agra Middle East through a partnership between event technology supplier Info Salons, and solution provider Konduko to debut a new exhibitor and attendee experience.
The technology provides organizers, sponsors and exhibitors a 360-degree platform that delivered content to the attendees, while collecting qualified data on visitor behaviour and preferences at the event.
The crux of the solution is the Konduko Reader: a sensor placed in various locations around the venue for the visitors to collect information from with their smart badge.
The Readers, which are pre-loaded with relevant industry content, send an email to the user when engaged in exchange of the visitor’s contact details.
This digital handshake initiates a meaningful relationship, and also makes events more environmentally friendly with considerable savings on printing cost.
According to Informa Middle East’s managing director, Peter Hall, an ongoing strategic objective at Informa is to improve the customer experience through engagement and the use of technology across its events portfolio, as well as driving sustainable CSR initiatives.
“Exhibitors measure the success of an event through the number of contracts they sign and the quality of leads they generate,” he said before the event. “Our collaboration with Konduko and Info Salons at AgraME will showcase how exhibitors and visitors can truly benefit from this innovative digital show bag concept.”
In the last few years, the event industry has seen a rapid increase in creative and innovative technological solutions to engage visitors at venues.
But with ongoing concerns around network connectivity at trade shows and the reliance on mobile applications to drive engagement at events, today there are still too many missed opportunities to provide an enhanced visitor experience at tradeshows.
Matt Harris, Konduko's CEO states that; “At Konduko we believe for any technology to succeed, 100% of consumers must have the capability in their hands. Visitors are empowered with the ability to opt-in to receive exhibitor information, proving the most powerful way to initiate a meaningful business relationship.
Supported by the Ministry of Environment and Water, AgraME is the Middle East's largest trade event dedicated to agribusiness, poultry & livestock, aquaculture and veterinary medicine, and hosts over 340 exhibitors from around the world. It was held March 13-15 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
