Emerald Acquires EDspaces Trade Show & Conference from Education Market Association

Emerald Expositions recently acquired the EDSpaces Trade Show & Conference from the Education Market Association.

“Through our alliance with Emerald, with its added resources and trade show creativity, we look forward to growing EDspaces and making it an even better investment for the exhibitors, buyers and our industry members,” said Lee Stapp, president of Officescapes and 2021 EDmarket chair of the board.

As part of the business agreement, EDmarket will remain committed to EDspaces by continuing to sponsor and support the event.

The EDmarket team will be working closely with the EDspaces team at Emerald for a smooth transition and will play an integral part in the conference content development.

Joe Tucker, Loraine Coleman and Scott Beyer have joined Emerald and will be key resources for exhibitor success.

The remaining EDmarket staff members will be refocusing efforts to improve the value of membership, along with growth and opportunity for the education market.

Founded in 1916, the company promotes an open market for quality educational products and services that are produced and delivered by professional suppliers and dealers. 

The Association, along with its 400+ member companies, represents, connects and serves people who want to succeed in the education market by providing events, opportunities, resources and leadership to those serving education. 

Corporate Solutions of Westport, Conn., was the exclusive advisor to Education Market Association in arranging, structuring and negotiating this transaction.

Additionally, attendees can benefit from 20 double-sided 55" mobile flexible display units, facilitating effortless navigation to meeting rooms and events. RFID locks were installed on all meeting room doors, and over 200 motion detection cameras have been placed throughout the space. Refreshing New Design & Fine Art The newly remodeled convention space provides a bright and vibrant atmosphere that complements Mandalay Bay's tropical-inspired brand. Featuring white-washed walls and ceilings adorned with bold floral patterns in cerulean and coral tones, the space is complemented by warm walnut accent walls. In addition to the redesign of all pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, Mandalay Bay's 1 million square feet of exhibit space has undergone a rejuvenation, including new paint, covered pillars and relocated strobe lights. Sustainable Spectacles Mandalay Bay is committed to Focused on What Matters and creating more responsible meetings. Refillable water stations all available around the resort, cutting unnecessary plastic usage from single-use bottles.
